Ironman save rolled back on Xbox Game Pass?

This morning I had restored the Roman Empire before shutting the game off. Got the achievement and everything.

Decided to start it back up to finish conquering the Mediterranean and heal the Schism... and the save file is rolled back 2 centuries... I don't know what happened. Is there anyway to get my original game back!? It was saving CONSTANTLY as an Ironman game.

I don't know if saves are stored on the same cloud server for Xbox/Steam etc or what or if there's anyway to forcibly sync them?

I'm pretty sure they are in an MS cloud of some sort, and they do seem to have syncing issues regularly I have to say. Unlike with Steam I don't believe there is even any way to see what you have in their cloud , outside the game.

I had the same happen to me today, loaded my game and lost over 100 years. From what i can see their is no local copy so I think we are boned. Going to need to avoid Ironman play throughs until we get some sort of confirmation as to what's happening
