Is EU turn based or real time??

I do not own this game yet ... however I have played many times with the board game.

My question: Is this game turn based? or real time?

My suggestion to Paradox: ADD A EMAIL-PLAY OPTION AND YOUR GAME WILL BE A LEGEND!!!! ... people rarely have time to sit for hours and play multiplayer ... if we could send saved-games-via-email-type-thing this could add lots appeal!!

Hi Billyzero,

this is 'semi-realtime', this means action is realtime (with varying speeds), but you can pause at any time, frex like Baldurs Gate. You can give orders while paused. Game speed is between 5 Minutes for 1 Month and 5 Months per minute.

Don't worry about the realtime, it is no clickfest like C&C or AoE. You can play multiplayer, but for obvious reasons not via email.
