From what I see, affecting how maps are generated is limited to adding new realm traits, and those are only overrides on properties used in a built-in map generation algorithm?
Is it possible to implement a new map generator algorithm itself in a mod - to write a script?
I am remembering how Civ IV allowed people to add entirely new algorithms, and as the result, there were very extensive mods people produced for that game.
