Yeah, I 'd love to play Kaiserreich in AOD :))) I dont really play arm anymore now that AOD came out... sorry and I really liked Kaiser a great deal.

Currently we have no plans to do this ourselves in the near future. Arma remains a popular game and that way we can spend time improving the Mod instead of spending time in creating a conversion.

Perhaps we will work on an official conversion in the future. No promises though.
 
In AoD modding forum there is a patch who converts Kaiserreich to AoD.

No issues, except a few minor overlooks that do no massively affect the game (National Socialist instead of National Populist, and the AoD specific features such as National Ideologies have not been set for countries yet.)

One warning to Syndie players - the strait at istanbul now counts as blocked, meaning Georgia is no longer the rares supplier for the Syndies. KR devs might want a look at that.

This can be changed easily in the config folder.
 
There is a problem with Non-aggression pacts and declaring war by event in AOD.

For instance: If USA declares war on Canada for trying to take New England, no territory can be conquered and no troops can fight each other from these two sides because of an existing non-aggression pact. Diplomacy screen says I am at war, but the Non-aggression pact is still there too, can't attack into Canada. I believe you have to end the pact in war declaration event and -5 dissent to cancel out the dissent hit from ending the pact early.

Also as USA I noticed the provinces weren't up to normal (~100 percent) efficiency at the scenario start. This results in lower resources and IC to begin with until a few months pass and it slowly raises up. I have no idea why that would be. I don't remember ever seeing that before. It seemed independent of the dissent.

I got absolutely crushed during the civil war :(
 
I take no responsibilities of the mysteries of AoD. :rofl: RE:Non-aggro etc. I will be going through the event chains anyway because certain events lead to changes in national identity etcetcetc (I had a libertarian/concilatory Russia under Wrangel in one test game)

Also The ACW is alot harder now for all sides - the Repair Provinces thing means that in my current test game the AUS has the highest IC currently - and the CSA still holds it's heartlands. :huh:
 
I noticed missing naval_brigades too. I didn't see LCAG for the light CV's and others, float plane, naval_AA bridages. Some other tech was missing, like railway_artillery.

Can any quick changes be done about the AI? Its not very aggressive towards forts or anywhere it doesn't have tremendous odds. Its not too far off, most wars take longer than they should. USSR emerged from Russia and took 3 years to take St. Petersburg. Or maybe this is all intended? France and Germany had almost no movement for years, but the statistics screen showed millions dead.

A final note, as Austria I formed the Danubian Federation, but I had almost no leaders.
 
re:1a - I'll look into it at some point, but it's not high on my to-do list. - I just wanted the KR awesome to run on AoD!

re:1b - I thought I kept the tech files untouched .Mysterious.

RE:2 - plenty, Load up you .ai folder and change the odds for attacks - IIRC NatChi in 1936 in vanilla AoD want a 40:1 ratio before attacking, which is why they are not competitive even vs Jap AI.

RE:3 - this is a new countries bug to do with KR. Try saving and reloading.
 
Played as Canada till 1943, works fine. I just had to rename the ideologies and alliances to make it look more Kaiserreich-ish. Oh and LCAG is missing? So I am not such an idiot after all, I was pretty confused what did I do wrong.

It's pretty slow on my laptop though - I guess that's because the minors keep spamming militias and there are many wars going on (all the time).

(Japan nearly conquered Russia :rofl: Germany at first seemed to be losing to the Syndies, but then pulled itself together, slowly turned the tide, encircled Paris and wiped out the Commune. I am now about to liberate Britain from the ravages of Syndicalism, hope it doesn't crash on me now. Best AH mod ever.)
 
Is anyone getting a consistent CTD on Oct 5th 1938?
