is majesty 3 in planning/development?

It was stated once that monster kingdom would be the last expansion for majesty 2 (not that I wouldn't buy another expansion - especially one with the monsters again, as I loved them).

So if that still is the plan, did the game do well enough moneywise? and if so, are there already plans for majesty 3?

I think another sequel would be great, majesty 2 did lots of things well, but its clear the fans want more - sandbox/random maps and other features not possible with the current engine. the developer could take the feedback and experience gained from majesty 2 into account and create a truly great majesty 3.

I really hope we don't have to wait another ten years for the next title as I still like the genre very much and seeing majesty is about the only title of this unique gameplay all my hopes are for majesty 3 ;-)

So, any official announcements to be made yet? Or just a few hints what's going on behind the scenes?

Well as far as I know, there is no info about majesty 3 or new expansion. I was hoping they make one expansion with the final awesome story of combining human and monster =)
but till now no info about that.
They just announced Defender of Ardania, it's a tower defence featuring 3 race.

yes, I saw that - was just posted after my thread ;-) this certainly explains their plans for now and the immediate future (release in q2/11 was stated). I also didn't find any further information on the net, that's why I asked in the first place. there hasn't been an announcement yet and I was wondering if there are plans to create a sequel or if this is out of the question for now for whatever reasons. Of course I don't expect an final answer including a release date, but just a hint which way they're leaning at the moment, in regards to the success and sales of majesty 2 (maybe it didn't sell well enough, maybe it did - we don't really know).
