Is the whole multiplayer connection thing ever going to be fixed completely?

Honestly. Some people it works with, other it doesn't.
I even went through all that "opening ports and firewalls" nonsense, and with some people, it just STILL never allows them to connect, while others, it does.

Seriously, is there some compatibility issue with different machines, or routers in general, or firewalls in general, or are there just little communist dwarves subverting the inner workings of the computers of the handful of individuals that find themselves miraculously unable to connect to me, and vice versa?
