I really don't like the default map with its ugly misshapen provinces and inaccurate terrain. Is there something similar to what HIP has but for CK2 Plus?

Well, the provinces have been redrawn, so the map setup is not the same as vanilla and much more accurate. But the underlying base map is still the same, yes.
It's not allowed to include SWMH (the HIP map) in other mods, so that's why that one is not available for CK2+. And creating an entirely new map from scratch is A LOT of work, so someone would have to invest a significant amount of time to do one for CK2+.
So no, not for now and most likely not in the near future.
But hope dies last, and at some point a miracle might happen
i personalty prefer this map over SWMH. due to SWMH lacking India and having far fewer proven ices in central Asia (i like playing a nomad)
Maps are always a funny, subjective thing. I actually prefer SMWH's cutting of India, leaving Pakistan projection but not all would agree. Either way, changing the map is a gargantuan amount of work if anything significant wants to be done.
