the game to come up with the error msg: "The scenario file had errors"?
for example like that a province isn't owned, controlled or national to anyone?
(because that might be the issue in my mod)

thx for the fast answer

anything else from the back of your head you can think of causing that?
typo in minister ID or sth?
maybe a reference to any ID (because of a typo in it or sth) in an .inc file he can't resolve? or would he give a proper error msg then?

gosh why does it have to be the .inc file of great britain.. -.-

I encountered such a problem with that file, too, while I was improving the structure of the E3 scenario files. I had simply copied a few dozen lines from revolt.txt and then got this message. Since there have been no typos I'm totally clueless.

re:typo in minister ID or sth?
Maybe, but you can simply test this be using an used minister id instead. ;)

don't tell me you copied egypt from the revolts and that eFF-ed you up?
Because egypt might be the cause for me ;)
(I decided to split britain up a little egypt, india .. )

Below egypt is the province 908 hidden. Luckily I had discovered that in a very early state of the adaption of the AOD scenario files to the E3 map but then I've it forgotten. But yesterday (late evening...) I wanted to put a more detailed version of the yugoslavian provinces in their scenario file and got this error message, too. Thanks to the small number of yugoslavian provinces I could count them and compare the number with the old file - and discovered another unused province id! 418 Then it was crystal clear what had happened: every land province has to be owned by a nation otherwise you get an error message.

But the problem with the UK remains even if I add the missing province. :( It seems that inside the file another unused province id is hidden...
