I have a problem. In my current game, Europe has reached the point where all the Empire start crumbling as vassals declare independence. However, those vassals soon join new Kingdoms. Actually, they almost all join the same Kingdom: The Christianized Seljuk Turks. The Seljuks now own at least half of the British Isles, as well as a large portion of France and parts of Sweden. Is it possible to stop this from happening?

Apply the latest beta-patch. That should fix the issue. The issue being that the relations value gets a boost every time you reload the game. So eventually everyone loves everyone else, and then independent dukes and counts start pledging to the most powerful kingdom around .. in this cae the Seljuks. And the more powerful it gets the more vassals it will get.

This is not fixed in the June patch, which is the one CK Complete comes with. You will need the one from October 2008.

Christianized Seljuk Turks conquering the north sea!? Frightening.

But yeah apply the latest patch. It really sucks playing where every duke in the world pledges to whoever has the highest prestige. Whenever I used to play unpatched like that the rus principalities would always join byzantium and all the muslims would banner under some faraway lord making ridiculous spread out realms, like the al-murabitids with scattered vassals all the way to persia, or egypt vassalizing the andalusian emirs, and the catholics would just bunch up in one kingdom after another in cycles of exploding and assimilating.

Lets all hope there will be fewer Christianized Seljuk Turks in CKII :p
