This seems can be used to create a diplomatic play with type of revolution. But I did not find any example in game file to create a revolution caused by specific IG, nor any example to specify which states the revolutionary country own at the start of a revolution.

Is manually trigger a revolution something feasible with the current modability of the game?

I'm surprised that there are no answers yet...

Had a quick look in the game files:
I think the actual 'ignition' and what states join will be handled by game code.
There are some (flavour-like) events around "secession progression" depending of what way of progression is made. Another example of events is in "ig_revolution.txt", where IGs can join a(n ongoing?) revolution.

So when trying to mod a revolution, I think one has to create a secession movement first and then drive this to 100%. Is this possible? I don't know.
