Pondering if its the right time to start my reconquista campaign or should I wait for some fixes. Are there any huge bugs right now?
The entire Game is broken.
DIsease Resistance has not been fixed, only works for the Holder of the Barony.

Temples are getting an randomly generated Character instead been giving to the Realm Priest(This fix itself, after 1 Month, but the generated Character is still alive)

Warfare AI is now much more terrible, than before, the Crown Patch, even the Devs have said they have improved Warfare AI.

Admin Realms can not have City Republic Vassals or Theocratic Vassals, because they always become Admin Government, for some unknown Reason.

And this only a short List of Issues, the Game has.

The new update is fine, but the next Nomad update will come in April so maybe you want to hold off for a little while longer or play on the beta version when the new version comes out.

Don't forget a ton of CTDs with automated armies and the lethality of the Joust events in Tournaments, that can decimate your country's knight population, especially later in the game when more events are organized. In most of them all or nearly all contestants either die or get incapacitated.

So I delved into that - and yeah there seems to be an event with getting hit by a Quantain that seems to be not working correctly, and firing off way too frequently. Wasn't too hard to fix.

I think what bothers me the most is that it seems like there's always a knight with accolades waiting to die just when war begins and the army has already been mobilized. It never fails.

Pretty sure that's WAI. The patch notes mentioned that they fixed a bug that had been stopping the AI from using most CBs, so now they are going to be able to do so.
The Vikings aren’t sitting around in Northumbria anymore, making forming the Danelaw much more likely to occur now.

Hopefully! Hindustan was the thing I was most interested in for 1.15 and one if it's main features (primogeniture) is broken. Not to mention the mid-game slow down!

Yes they can.

You can't create new ones, but you absolutely can have them. You can vassalise existing ones, and republic vassals can create new republics too. When I play Byz I like vassalising Venice, feeding them most of northern Italy (after changing the county capitals to city holdings), let them create republics all over and then retract vassal to get them back. Theocracies are more difficult, but you can still vassalise them at least.

It could definitely do with improvement, it'd be nice to be able to choose to create them yourself. But you can have them.

This is a perfect time to start a Reconquista campaign, nothing coming up is likely to make that campaign significantly better and the major bugfixing cycles from the last patch have been over for a while. A bigger concern with a campaign like that is pacing yourself so you don't conquer Iberia in a single lifetime:

I'm in the middle of an El Cid campaign and thankfully he died right after forming Valencia (tragically spiteful harm events <3) and Iberia still ended up 80% ruled by me and Galicia-Castille so I'm taking a bastard to serve under the Almohads and roll back the conquest
