So basically, will there be a feature where non-core provinces need army presence, otherwise the likeliness of a revolt increases? If your army is in x province, its presence will be highest in the provinces closest to it. And it slowly fades off. A lot like naval (or maritime I forgot which) presence.

Historically the Romans and Persians had many wars. Rome usually had more soldiers in total. But they couldn't send their entire army to fight the war. Because if they do, rebels might start rising up and easily take huge swaths of land. Obviously not a very smart decision.

I am pretty sure that a control feature is in the game. This could be added to it. Where you need an army to be garrisoned in a certain region to avoid decrease in control that might lead to a revolt.

what do you guys think, should it be added if it hasn’t been added already?

It's been mentioned somewhere by Johan, but an army presence in your own territory raises control, which is effectively what you're suggesting here.
