I downloaded a mod, Tass i think. Played as Castile and managed to unite Spain, or rather get the 5 King titles under my belt.
I had to give it up though after 7 or 8 of my kings in a row, either got poisoned (conspiracy) or excommunicated. A couple of the kings i could understand (bad traits) but most of them were living saints,traitwise
It just is no fun to sit and bribe vassals for 100+- years. Well i had those few years inbetween when my kings were infants and my vassals were only normally rebellious.
Then i thought, ok lets go with a normal dv game with 2.1 patch. Loaded up as Dutchy of Apulia and got the King of Sicily title.
I was missing a couple of muslim provinces on the south tip of Sicily but i thought i should let them be until my BB had dropped down.
Then i saw it ? The 2 provinces had joined emirate of Damascus, not just them though, all the emirates in Spain had joined Damascus aswell making them a soon to be juggernaught and that on top of the Seljuk's who in their usual manner were tearing the Bysantines apart. So i hit the quit button on that game aswell.
Is these games normal, or did i just have very bad luck. Cant remember this happening in the vanilla CK ? If it is, i have my doubts about the DV expansion.
