Islands, how many? From the screenie of scandinavia I could see that some of the large dansih Islands are included, but how many? What size (or importance) does an island need to have to be included? I am very dissapaointed with greenland not being in the game, It had settlements until mid 15th century so...It could be fun having it. YES I have been granted the title: Count of...greenland????? Come on! Thats fun!
How many and which islands can I expect to see in this game?

Greenland should be Norwegian throughout the game though... this ain't a colonial game, I don't think it does harm that Greenland ain't included.

I think it's wise to expect the islands included in EU2, divided into more provinces, and maybe some islands included in land provinces(in EU2) as separate provinces.:)

Probably. I think they were important for politics at the time, and wasn't some of them a part of the power struggle between Norway and Scotland?

Well, we know Man's in and Johan was good enough to vouchsafe the Hebrides are in too and you can't really have that without the Orkneys. Shetlands / Faeroes, I dunno, though I'd hope there were some staging-points on the way to Iceland.

I'd like to see how Sicily is divided.

In the 'screenshots from worthplaying' thread here, the top screenshot that was posted in the thread shows southern Italy and the eastern part of Sicily. I looks like the province that was Messina in EU2 is divided into two across the middle in CK, into northern and southern halves.

Greenland didn't belong to a nation. Its population were only like 600. Still...could be fun being the count of 600 persons living far away from "civilisation".

Ehm, Greenland, Iceland and several other Norwegian claims were securly under Norgesveldet during the reign of Håkon IV Håkonsen of Norway during the 1250's

Perhaps, but this game starts at 1066. Remember that it was icelandic settleres that established three small settlements on greenland. They really wasn't under control of any king as they were worthless. I mean 600 people! The last settlement died out in 1450's.
My point is: Greenland was independent in the start of this game, 1066.

they payed tribute to the norwegian king and was known as "skatlandene" (mening they paid "tax" to the norwegian king). but governed themselvs but with Norway playing the part of Hegemon over them.

If you would just look at the minimap in the Byzantine screen shot thread you would realize that this debate is simply academic.

I think they already know that - the very first post talks about Greenland not being in the game. For some reason they're still debating about it anyway.... :p ;)

First of, your "perhaps" implies that what I said was not a fact. It is a fact.

Secondly, since Greenland is non-existant in the game, what's the argument? For the sake of simplicity, Iceland is probably a part of Norway, or very close to it.

What about Cyprus and Crete and the other Mediterranean islands?
