One feature I like alot in the mod is the one where you can make lowborn in your court a noble by also giving him a bit of gold in the honorary title menu. One issue with this though, is that their dynasty is always named "of something" usually a barony you control and their coat of arms is just a basic one. I propose that they get the a same quality dynasty and CoA as when you invite a masterles warrior. Also one other issue is when you give a lowborn in your court a title without making him a noble first, then they all end up taking the same noble name and basic CoA, here I would also suggest that they get the same dynasty names/CoA as a masterless warrior because it would add alot to immersion in my opinion.

I think that's too much work for the mods, honestly, especially considering that they have added some default houses in, and you can change your vassal's houses with the proper DLC. I've done it many times, I hate the "of xxx" nonsense too.

I mentioned this quite a while ago. The answer was like that : Random family names are exactly the names of provinces. So, a random courtier might get surnames like "Winterfell" and "Last Hearth". Obviously this is a weird situation. "Of" before the place name makes it like the character is from the mentioned place. ( Like Mathilda of Tuscany )

The problem with the Mathilda of Tuscany example is that A) Mathilda of Tuscany actually ruled Tuscany, whereas these named are almost never connected to the holding the character rules, and B) the family is stuck with that name forever despite being 5 generations down the line.

If you've got the right DLCs, you can always just pop in and rename them/redo the COA yourself so long as you are their liege and their house is still under your boot.

Yeah, it's unfortunate but I don't know that there's a way to get that system working perfectly.

I think a version or two when I tried to uplift lowborn courtiers it gave all of them a ladybug coat-of-arms and the last name "Spunt". I had a whole court full of Spunts. This is better than that.

Only solution would be the Devs adding tons of generic dynasty names that would be given to newcomers.

The thing is that all dynasty names and shields are already there because if you are High Lord or above you can invite a masterless warrior to your court and He will have a generic dynasty and coat of arms. When you let's say, invite a man good with words and make him a noble he will not take the same generic names and coat of arms he will just take "of Winterfell" as a dynasty name for example. My point is that a newly made noble should take the same names and CoA as a masterless warrior would get.

They were like that before but they all joined the same dynasty, hence it was change to generate a random new dynasty that the player can edit if they have the customizer dlc.
