Italian patch Update

Hi all,

Some info about the Italian version of EU2.


1 - The patch finally provided by Leader didn't work ( not only for me but we found other 12 people testing that is not working, you can check on the italian newsgroup it.comp.giochi.strategici, discussion are in italian but you can ask people to translate ).

2 - The english patch will work on the italian version fixing the crash to desktop problem but all the dialogue will turn to english

3 - Seem that most of the problem on Win XP could be fixed by using a virtual cd problem, we received 2 confirmation but waiting for more people to test, if true this mean that you can play the italian version by installing a Virtual CD program and play with no cd ( no idea on other windows version ).

I think you have the same problem as other people had in the past with translated patches

Try the suggestions here and tell me if it works after that:

since the english patch is working, I assume the problem is in the text.csv patch, so this should work, unless they introduced new errors

Time passed (remember, Viper37? You write me:"Compliments! You have found a bug!" many months ago) and problems are the same... Well, I assume that good choice is play forever with englis text.csv!

P.S. It seems that Leader forgot to write the minimum system requirements in the package of "Legion", this is the FIRST game I have see without this indication!

The italian patch has only "text.csv" file bug or more files are corrupted? In others words, can I use italian patch and simply change italian "text.csv" with english "text.csv"?

I want to play with AGC, EEP and AoN, before to die!

yes, it shouldn't be a problem.

btw, I cannot acces the newsgroup it.comp.giochi.strategici on my ISP news server. If anybody wants the 1.05 english text.csv, you can tell them to e-mail me at viper37@sympatico.ca in French or in English. I can manage to read Italian, but I'm unsure of the results
