Greetings!!

Just got HOI a week ago and have thouroghly enjoyed it!

I'm playing normal/normal with a 1936 German start. By the end of 1939 I had taken Poland, France the Low Countries and Yugoslavia. In 1940 I pursuaded Italy to join the Axis Alliance and I was able to gain control of their military forces. I did not have permission to enter their country though but since we're in the same aliance I don't see that as a problem.

When I redirected the Italian ships, particularly the transports for the Africa campaign, they at first showed the correct location to move to. Then when I unpaused, they went back to doing what the AI had them doing.

Is this a known bug? Is there a work around? I tried reloading but that didn't seem to work.

Thanks!

Military control for naval and air units have a large chance of being redirected by the ai/government of the country you have taken military control over. You might see this as well if you try and move the entire ground force of a nation outside its borders. You only have control to a point where the ai/government of the controled country feels its safety is being threatened by your actions. Hope this helps, even though it does not give a workaround. at least its my best shot at an explenation.

Ghost,

Thanks for the info! I was trying to get an Afrika Corps going but it seems the AI won't cooperate with transporting them there

Since the German Navy can't get past Gibralter I'm kinda stuck on ideas on how to do this. I'll see if the Germans can build transports in Italy or Yugo or Vichy.

Thanks again!
