Can anyone help here.

I have just purchased the game - I am playing Italy, 1936 scenario with version 1.03 on the easy settings. I am getting random crashes to the BSOD at varying dates. It centers around units defending and attacking in Ethiopia. When the Haille Selassie unit attacks into the province north of Mogadishu or into Mogadishu itself and Italian reinforcements are sent in as support, the crash happens as soon as conflict starts. The error codes on the BSOD are:

File Name: VMCPD (01) + 0000061C
ERROR OD: 0028 : C00582C8

Pressing any key simply leads into another BSOD with:

ERROR OE : 0028 : C0014C83

I then have to switch the whole machine off (Ctrl-Alt-Delete will not work) and start again.

I am running a Gateway, specs are:

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1300MHz
Memory: 384MB RAM
Page File: 83MB used, 1580MB available
Primary File System: FAT32
DirectX Version: DirectX 8.1 (4.08.01.0881)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows ME (4.90, Build 3000)

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX (Gateway - English)
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Display Memory: 31.5 MB
Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (16 bit)(75Hz)
Monitor: GATEWAY VX900
Monitor Max Res: 1600,1200
Driver Name: nvdisp.drv
Driver Version: 4.13.01.1200 (English)

Is this enough info??

Cheers

Most likely cause is the nVidia driver. I think the one you're after is here: http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_41.09

If that doesn't solve the problem, try doing a complete uninstall/reinstall (just in case something was corrupted in the original install and/or patch) and try again.

Let us know if that works, and if not then we'll look at a couple other possibilities.
