Doomsday version 1.3a

The title says it all. Some pointers to what I should do would be greatly appreciated. The German player is the most experienced one of us all by far so he will manage almost without my help. The UK player is likely to call most/all of his ships to the European theatre to secure the Med and I think that will be my biggest concern. The USSR player will build a lot of infantry and send em coming, nothing fancy.

We are planning to start the war earlier than normal to benefit from the IC penalty the allies have. Any tips on defeating/pushing back the royal navy and securing the med? Also I know that the UK player will build a considerable air force (like he should), how should I react to that with my limited IC?

All gamey tactics are good to go since our enemies are sure to use them too.

Well build Ic to get that 80 base Ic first.
Againts Brits Navy you really need to get the Air superioirity.
So I suggest you do first Factories after them make Inf and Cas.
The German player have to make the moves first and you follow his orders.
But thats what I do cause you relly cant go conquer the hole med alone.;)
The Uk players does not allow that.
 
No they cost too much and you cant keep up whit hte building pace of the UK.
Its better to have more Bombers than a small group of Fighters.
And Germany has to make your Airforce defending part.
You cannot make them on such numbers. Its Germanys job.
 
Mighty G: I don't mean starting in 1937 but a bit earlier. Of course I aint an expert but to me it seems like a plan knowing that USSR is also easier to defeat early. Remember that we are making weird alliances here with UK and Soviet allying from the start, same for Italy and Germany.

Also by starting the war early I don't mean outright invasion of UK but fighting in Nort Africa, securing Gibraltar and Suez. It is possible tough to abandon this strategy if it doesn't pay off. You have a diffrent aproach?

afaik 1940-1941 is a good date to kill the soviets so just after france dies. taking control of suez and gibraltar is a nice idea yeah. Though id say germany either has to invade spain or get lucky and have spain join him (which is virtually impossible heh) and get gibraltar. Suez should be your job
 
the power of Italy is not in air ore Naval units its in a Sh!tload of Infantry and a good german play that provides you with airplains enouth usable airplanes and some armour.
DO NOT TRY TO FIGHT IN AFRIKA its better to come back later. its possible for germany to DOW spain and ship arcross the gibraltar staight ore you move true turkey

Italy is such a weak country you wanna abandon africa right away and just build infantry to gaurd beaches AA guns to spray all over italy as its highly unlikely you can win at sea or at air. Maybe some navs if you get around to it/

Dont get cute and build navy, last time I took over an Italy ISD build no infantry and just carriers and got annexed within 3 months.

Ya my mistake too in building up my fleet in the current mp game. Built some BB, DD, CA and now 90% of the fleet is toast and the rest hiding in the adriatic.:rofl:


of course this is my first mp game since 2007 so i guess i get a newb penalty

fortunately i built up my ground forces.

I always disband italian military and start over in 38. The upgrade and reinforcements cost too much imo.
