It's impossible to get rid of the Sunni Caliph

Description​

It seems like you can't revoke all of the Caliph's land to make the Sunni head of faith vacant (even after the Struggle is over). The game just doesn't let you do it (see the exact phrasing on my screenshot).
It makes "the Umayyad Strikes Back" achievement nearly impossible, as you can't become the Sunni Caliph without revoking his lands first.
The only workaround is to basically try and orchestrate for him to get holy war-ed.

Steps to reproduce​

Load my save file, try to revoke all land from the Sunni Caliph (he holds Baghdad)

Weird, I had no problem doing just this in my own Umayyad strikes back game. Got the achievement just fine. Honestly I didn't even expect it to destroy the caliphal title either.

My Iranian Intermezzo timed out when I started taking over the Caliph though. That might be a part of it.

Ironically once I took the Abbasid empire they actually requested vassalization. I just revoked their titles once they were under me.

BTW there still the possibility of just destroying them conventionally by releasing them and then targeting them with a non-vassalizing causu beli.

I heard there's a bug with some new achievements that makes checking the "Possible Achievements" window disable it. This might be it.

That's a different achievement. The one you've heard about is the one where you have to use the new assassin court position and murder 3 people.

I have zero trust in PDX and their DLCs, imagine doing a 10h play through (or 30 with RP) just for the achievement you were aiming for to be locked behind a bug. SMH.

You can solve it by purchasing claims to all titles the sunni caliph has. When all titles are conquered by you he will be unlanded and the caliphate is destroyed.
And in that point you create it.
