Heya,

I've had Crusader Kings for awhile now but.. I haven't played it yet. I've just installed it again and now I would like help to some questions.

How do I gain population to get more troops and such... ?

Can I conquer Germany as Bohemia ?

Can any country grow into a super power ?

.. Thats about it, thanks folks ! Ive got experiance with Eu3 vicky and such so im not new to Paradox games.

1. There is no population in CK. The size of a regiment depends on the richness of a province. The richer the province the bigger the regiment, so if you have high stewardship you will get bigger regiments.

2. Yes, you can conquer any country you like. Though how easy or hard it is depends on how your game goes.

3. Yes.

So how do I keep and make provinces rich ? Also I noticed alot of the game is vassilisation is it hard to keep just one solid state ?

I thought you read all the beginnersguides :)

You keep provinces rich by building improvements, getting a good steward (and have good stewardship yourself) and don't go over your demesne limt.

You can't play this game without creating vassals, since each ruler can only control a specific number of provinces directly (= his demesne). The number of provinces depends on the rulers intrigue (just of the ruler without his spymaster) and his title-level. If you hover your mouse over the amount of gold you have you see how many provinces you can control directly.

You can go over your demesne-limit, but then you will start to lose efficiency and that will effect your province-income. The lower your efficiency the lower your income will be, the smaller your regiments. If you have an efficiency of zero, you won't be able to built any improvements anymore.

Also being over your demesne-limit can cause your ruler to become stressed, depressed or even crazed which has a big impact on his stats.
