Right, I've played 3 Grand Campaign (1936) games so far in DAIM. Japan has declared war on Nationalist China every single game, and promptly conquers+puppets it, no problems here.

However, in Vanilla, Japan normally went on to DoW the UK and the Netherlands. This they don't seem to do in DAIM. Now, I started Barbarossa in 1940 in all 3 of my games, whereas in Vanilla I started in '41. Am I breaking the Japanese AI by starting a year earlier? Once they've conquered China they just seem to sit there and do nothing.

In my first and second game, I waited until 1944 for something to happan with Japan (The Soviets had been BP'ed (which was a tough fight, the Soviets got a lot better with DAIM)). Nothing happened, so I got them into the axis in the hope this would stimulate them into an attack. Still nothing happened. They normally don't need any excuse to DoW the UK and the Netherlands.

I'm playing Doomsday Arma 1.1

I'll give it another go, it's possible I hit the random chance they don't attack the allies. Vichy France didn't give up Indochina in one game, so maybe that affected the AI.

Great MOD all the same. I had to halt all my industry and all my ARM/MOT units towards the end of Barbarossa, the Soviets were a tough nut to crack, expecially at the end when you have to traverse long distances to get to Sverdlosk.

And it was nice to see the Italians not lose Africa while I was busy with Barbarossa. They developed a stalemate at Alexandria- main thing is they're still alive, so I can help them now. :)

Japan will declare war in historcal way ( around the 6.12. ( Pearl Harbor )) :)

OK, this time, they signed a peace with China, which gave them all lands up to Nanjing, but China is not their puppet (essentially they used the sue for peace option).

Ahwell. The mighty Reich shall conquer all anyway!
