I really do not understand one day simply my Imperator did not work anymore already try to re-install the game by steam, check the integrity of the files, back to the normal version and to beta nothing further
As soon as I start the game this error happens I don't know what to do anymore

I agree that is particularly strange if the game used to work on this same computer.

Was there some change or update that triggers this? A new Windows patch, antivirus app, anything like that?

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/pdx_settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

In your Steam Library right-click on this game and choose Properties. Click on Set Launch Options, and paste this in there:
-skiplauncher

Does the game itself start up then?

Yes, there were some Windows updates ( I think 2 or 3 )
I'm sending DXDIAG
It seems that the problem was with a document folder I can no longer access it looks like it has been deleted?!?

No difference at all? Same Javascript error?

At the end of that dxdiag we see a bunch of problems in various parts of Windows , and AppHang in Steam. Did this all happen at the same time?

Unless you deleted it manually, I'm not sure what's happened to this computer. In File Explorer click on Documents in the left column. Do you see Paradox Interactive in the right pane? If so, in that folder do you see folders for this game and for CK2 (which I see you also have)?

So I can't see the Documents folder anymore so I think it has been deleted
The only game that stopped working was Imperator Rome I didn't get to install CK2 on this computer yet so I don't know if CK2 has the same problem
Is there any way I can recreate this folder from Paradox Interactive?

The Documents folder itself is created by Windows, nothing to do with us. If it is really not there, either some malware has deleted it or some user has!

Googling "recreate windows documents folder" shows a number of useful hits.

If however Documents itself is still there but Paradox Interactive under it has gone, that's a different matter.

After I read your comment I took a look at google "recreate windows documents folder" and I found a page of the Microsoft site I can solve the problem I will put here if someone has the same problem:

- Right-click My Documents (on the desktop), and then click Properties.
- Click Restore Default.
- After starting Imperator Rome it will be able to create Paradox Interactive folder

Thanks for the support AndrewT I apologize for the inconvenience can put this topic as resolved ;)
