join button not working

I am connected to the internet on a modem. I try to join an IP game, however the "join" and the "host" button do not work. They aren't greyed out, they just don't work. Nothing happens. Has anyone seen this problem before?

It is a very common multiplayer bug. It is normally the fault of the host I believe. Try letting someone else host and make sure no one is using a router/firewall.
