Ok, i had basically this idea:

Game title: Rise of Civilizations (or any other name).

Game Idea: Instead of covering small area´s of the world, rise of civilisations let you choose any country in the world, starting the year 4000 BC.
First players will therefore only be able to play cultures like sumer, and the number of playable nations will be rather small.
With release the game maybe covers 3000 - 2000 BC. Nations of Interest would be the Sumerer, Ägypt, Greek and also China.
Unlike other Paradox titles there would be no expansions and no DLC´s but the option for an monthly subscription. From the money the team gets with the subscrition, paradox would have some people working on the game 24/7 and therefore there would be monthly content update.
There would be an forum where only those who got an subscription can post and "request" features. The dev´s would of course consider every feature and implement it, if there are enough votes for the feature. If an feature gets enough votes (lets say 300), it will be made and implemented.

Those who do not buy the subscription can play the game, but wont be able to get the monthly updates / patches. If someone gets the subscription after 3 month´s of game release, he would have to purchase the old content as well (basically pay for 3 month´s).

Because it would become extremely expensive in time, there will be an expansion every half a year, containing the new conent for an "better" price.

So basically if the game would be released for 2 years, player A dont have to pay 240 euro for all the new content, but could "upgrade" for let´s say 50 bucks.

Also the game itself would cost 69 bucks (and never change) because it will be always the most actual content. (so after 2 years, player will get all the updates delivered so far).

Other advantages of the subscription would be an worked over lobby for multiplayer, worked over performance of the paradox multiplayer server and some more things.

Some ideas for possible content:

first year: 3000 BC - 0.
Second year: 0 - 500 A.D
third year (after release): 500 A.D - 1100
4th 1100 - 1500
5th 1500 - 1700
6th 1700 - 1880
7th 1880 - 1930
8th 1930 - 1990
9th 1990 - 2100
10th 2100 -2200

So basically there would be content for the next 10 years. Also grafic would be gradualy upgraded.

Would you like something like this? Or would you not like it? I know it sounds actually pretty expensive but i think it would be worth it. It just needs a lot of money to develop games ( i am game developer myself and work for an studio in the financial sector so i pretty much know^^... ) and with the money gained with such an system, paradox would have enough to employ some more people, who do nothing but expand the game.
