I know there are a bunch of CK2 request threads out there already, but reading them I'm not sure this point has been made loudly enough, and I'm arrogant enough to think it will get more notice in a new thread than on page 12 of an existing one. My apologies for the inconvenience.
My one request for CK2?
Please, please, make it work.
There have been any number of great suggestions for new and improved features, but none of them will be worth much if the game routinely crashes or lags, is riddled with exploits or Sheikdom-of-Prague style absurdities or the AI either blatantly cheats because it can't handle all the features or routinely runs its realms into the ground by playing like a lemming with OCD.
The recent record of Paradox titles, at least in their early incarnations, is riddled with great ideas whose execution fell short of their promise (the weather system in HoI3 is a classic). EU3 needed two expansions to show how great it could be. HoI3 and Vic2 are still on their way there. I'd much rather have a solid basic game and the prospect of extra features in expansions than an infuriating mixture of potential brilliance and practical problems that I can only hope will be slowly patched into something viable over the next several months.
