Kaiserreich Compatibility Patch for AOD

Posted this in the other thread, but figured there might be interest here.

Yesterday, I went through and eliminated all the duplicate leaders. With that, Kaisserreich now works with AOD.

To Install: in your Kaiserreich/Config folder, delete Kaiserreich's version of your Doomsdaytext.csv
Basically, make sure Vanilla AOD's Doomsdaytext.csv is running when Kaiserreich's is.


Then, delete Kaiserreich's leader folder, and replace it with this one: http://www.filefactory.com/file/b0b025c/n/leaders.7z

Another from me:
I've also been looking at the US Civil war, which seems to be the biggest thing broken by the conversion to AOD. Here's a preliminary fix- it lowers dissent by events, and adds some units to CSA and AUS armies, to counteract the fact that the US can now build units and fight off dissent at the same time. It also adds more units and free IC and resources. Drop the event files in db/events/kaiserreich/USA/

Place the USA.INC file in scenarios/kaiserreich.

Not pretending that these national ideas are "correct", but at least better than default.

Edit: The countries have vanilla names. Example: Commune of France is just called France and UoB called United Kingdom. The ideologies seems to be vanilla to. How do I fix these ones?

Go to config folder, open world_names.csv and change accordingly, like FRA;France to FRA;Commune of France, etc etc etc or try to take your vanilla kaiserreich world_names.csv and copy it over the current.

For ideologies, I think it's in text.csv somewhere... Just search for Nationalsocialism or something in all files and you'll come to the right part and change accordingly.

Save your work and you're good to go.

The biggest thing that's messed up is the American Civil war, which I'm currently working on rebalancing. I'd say I'm about 90ish% done with that, and should have a good patch out by tomorrow.

Dissent in general is a big problem- Brazil currently falls to partisans as 10-20% dissent in AOD leads to massive partisan activity.

Also, the way new nations works in AoD means that civil wars become quite unbalanced when the rebel nations don't have much in the way of IC. Or time to rebuild it.
That's mostly fixed for the American Civil War, but not the Spanish one.

I'm also finding that for some reason, the national ideas for the rebelling factions in the ACW gets randomized even though I've given them ideas in the modded files (granted, not the PSA). Have I put the lines in the wrong part of the files, or is there something else going on?

Updated OP with new USA civil war files.

The easiest thing to do with the national ideas might be to change them via event when the new leaders are chosen for each side.

Backup your vanilla leaders folder and clear it out.

Game crashed a couple months in playing as Commune of France. Not sure if it was a generic AoD crash or something with KAiserreich. It happened shortly after I had gone through all of my events for customizing my government.

Hmm it could have been a rogue crash. Just tried a hands off game as Switzerland and have made it pretty far with no crashes.
