I am playing and notice that I assign the best leaders to my troops in the field. Then, because I need to wait for badboy points to go down, my troops are sitting idle on the front line for decades. But I also know that my good leaders who have been assigned to my troops are dying without ever having seen battle. Meanwhile I have poor leaders sitting in the reserves who were never assigned.

So, my question is:

Is it reasonable to assign the poor leaders to my troops in the field when we are idle; but then when we are gearing up for action, assign the good leaders from the reserves? That way, the poor leaders will be dying off while I keep the cream of the crop alive.

I'm guessing this works. Maybe there is a problem with this strategy.

And also, it might be a bit gamey. If this works, would it be considered an exploit, or a reasonable tactic to employ?
