So I've played this game for a while since it came out and if I had to estimate, I would say I have about 4 hours of keyboard play, and 2 hours of gamepad play. I've tried each classes with each control setup. Here's the key benefits of each setup I've found so far, in my opinion.

Keyboard:
Precise aiming control
Can use skills more easily while moving (example: running away from monsters as Mage and throwing a fire wall behind you to knock them back)
Better Accuracy while Ray of Awesome-ing people

Gamepad:
Precise moving control
Have not experienced movement bugs while using gamepad input (specifically where the character temporary follows the mouse cursor, attacking ends the bug and it returns to WASD movement, have not been able to replicate the bug yet. EDIT: After starting the game back up today within my first play the character(mage) started following the cursor, I had JUST used a potion maybe that could be somewhere to start with the experiments.)

That's my biggest complaint I have right now. I like using the gamepad much more than the keyboard, and I only use the Mage. Whenever I need to Ray of Awesome someone to save their life, and the other guy with full health is right next to him, guess who it always targets? Even if he's to the right of him, and I start moving to my right to target him better, I somehow always target the guy next to him. Even worse when I keep moving to my right but it somehow keeps targeting the guy to his left for 5 Rays in a row.

I have an incredibly easy solution to this: The left bumper and trigger on the Xbox 360 controller is not bound to any key, so right now it serves no purpose. Why not bind one of those to a targeting system -made only- for Ray of Awesome? This will be hard to explain, so I'll try my best. Since there are only 2 heroes that you can Ray of Awesome, pressing left bumper/trigger will target between those 2 heroes. For example, say your team consists of a mage, a warrior, and a rogue, the mage starts out with the warrior selected for the Ray of Awesome. The rogue quickly needs an invuln or else he dies, and the warrior is right next to him and you don't wanna risk targeting the fully healed warrior, you just press left bumper/trigger and it targets the rogue. Now if the warrior needs an invuln, you press the button again, and vice versa. Maybe make the circle they have around them have a smoky effect to see who's targeted. I'm not gonna talk much about the visual effects.
