Hello everyone! We're pushing a list of known issues in Legacy of Persia and the accompanying free 1.11.0 "Peacock" Update ahead of the update itself to help make players aware of some issues they may encounter today. Our team is aware of these issues and are already working on them.

If you encounter any issues in v1.11.0 not listed below, please report it here on our official bug report board!

1.11.0. "Peacock" Known Issues

  • When loading a save from an older version, the succession law for House Heads under Clan Government does not update.
  • Court Scholars are currently restricted to players who own Royal Court in addition to Legacy of Persia; they should only be restricted to Legacy of Persia.
  • Wars against Republic regents or viziers cannot be won as cities cannot be beseiged, resulting in ticking warscore favoring the defender.
  • If a player appoints their heir as a Tax Collector, they can become their own Tax Collector upon succession.
  • Some Divisive Actions, such as joining an Independence Faction, do not reduce House Unity.
  • Conquering land within the struggle region as an Interloper does not trigger the relevant struggle catalyst.
  • Winning a war against another involved ruler within the Iranian Intermezzo does not trigger the relevant struggle catalyst.
  • Abbassid Humiliation is not shown as available when "Dominate the Caliph" foundation has all requirements fulfilled. Note: This is purely visual, players can still take the decision despite this.
  • Pressed demands against your House Head when using the Challenge House Head interaction currently do not function as expected.
  • The Iberian Struggle is incorrectly referred to as the Iranian Intermezzo in its ending decisions.
  • The Iberian Goatee facial hair style is missing from the barbershop.
  • Player vassals may be appointed as a Vizier by their liege, despite landed characters being unable to hold this position. When this occurs, the player is immediately invalided from the position and replaced by another character.
  • Castle holdings of Iranian culture incorrectly display MENA graphics.

Well now, playing as the Idrissids in Nort Africa I have Iranian culture art for my holdings.
Same apply for all egyptians, bedouins etc.. only exception is Iberia.

Can we get "Grand Tournament ambience continues to play after exiting/finishing a Grand Tournament" added to Known Issues, please?

The last we heard from QA was that they couldn't reproduce it, yet it's obvious if you listen to the game audio for about 30 seconds after attending a Grand Tournament. (Listen for the "YEP YEP YEAH" guy - seriously.)

People in that thread have posted videos of this bug, and have even gone exploring the game files to isolate where the audio is coming from: It's "ck3_ep2_crowds_LOOPS_02". It's literally the reason I've stopped playing - I'm waiting until it's fixed because I can't take it playing endlessly for the rest of the game unless I exit and reload.

It would be good to have official confirmation it's being worked on, at least - it's a pretty significant and annoying bug that's driving many of us crazy.

Bro I’ve been unable to load a save I’ve been playing and it was the first play through of ck3. I’ve played it since I got the game in 2019, and I’ve played it on and off since royal court. I was busy with a Habsburg play through and didn’t really get back to the save until recently. It’s very sad that whenever I try to load the save, it crashed and I’m unable to play it at all.

Is the bloated autosave issue not known? In my current campaign where I am in year 963 a manual save creates a 24 mb file, while the games own autosaves are 100mb each. So with 3 autosaves 300 mb diskspace is used when 72 mb should have been enough. If I delete autosaves they just reappear with same size when I start playing

Game treats hajjs for the ending like regular pilgrimages.

Also, religious shrines of other faiths is a problem. If someone in your traveling party scoffs at another faith’s religious shrine, it doesn’t make sense if your faith considers the other faith righteous. If a member of your party follows the same faith as the shrine, and others follow the same religion but not faith as the shrine, saying [high god’s name] doesn’t exist makes no sense unless your character is cynical.

The heathen talk should only be done by a same faith party member. A Zoroastrian complaining about heathens on a Hajj seems off.

I also think that finding uncanonical saints in Muslim lands to be a bug still leftover from Tours and Tournaments, though I could be wrong. Someone more knowledgeable about Islam feel free to correct me if this not the case.

Finally, creating a cadet branch from clan still causes a shift from male only to male preference.

Looks like at least one of the related bug reports has been marked “Confirmed:”*

*edit: confirmation was added to the title, not in a post within the thread—at least not yet.

Is there any info available when the next patch will be released? Wanted to start another campaign but the amount of bugs to fixed is demotivating...
Also interested. I usually tough it out and never complain but the current patch is barely playable because of the confirmed "clicking on portraits crashes the game" bug.

Same here, bug has made the game unplayable for me atm — a number of other players reporting same issue on Reddit. Fingers crossed for a fix soon.

Manage Royal Guards Martial Task Having Inverse Effect on Hostile Scheme Success.

The Martial Task for Managing Royal Guards which reads "Decreases Hostile Scheme Success Chance up to 2x Martial Skill" actually has the inverse effect on hostile schemes, making them more likely to succeed against the player character (or any AI foolish enough to use the task)

Same here. Keep coming in hoping for a fix because the game is absolutely unplayable at the moment.

I'll grin and bear annoying bugs that make weird things happen or cause unbalancing, but literally crashing to desktop every time I click on a character (which in this game is... kinda important?) feels like it should've been a high-priority fix, not a "wait until Christmas" sort of situation

I am experiencing the same crash/problem on Linux which renders the game unplayable at the moment. In my opinion such an issue should have been the sole target of a hotfix as soon as possible. I just hope that we will not have to wait much longer for a fix.
