Because India, or at least unhellenized/zorastrianized has probably received the least amount of development in comparison to other regions/religions, I was wondering if there were any plans in the works for changes there.
Well thats part of what I mean. It seems like theres more of a focus on developing the Indo-Hellenic religions than anything else in the sub-continent.Lord Spiritual Numahr is currently adding in a new Neoplatonic religion (from my own proposal) in the region, "Platonic Vedanta" as developed by the Classics-educated Guru Shankara in the 8th Century at the Academy at Taxila. I'm told it will have one or possibly two starting realms, given its real-world parallel's philosophical dominance within medieval and modern Hinduism, and it has a pretty intriguing combination of bonuses and penalties just based on its SELIN Matrix setup.
The SELIN Matrix is also getting an update with a Pacifist feature, primarily for monastic Indian religions (but I believe several others including some in the West should qualify) which will limit a ruler's ability to wage aggressive war or plot assassinations.
It's not really an Indo-Hellenic religion (and can't intermarry with them), it's literally Advaita Vedanta but with a classical philosophy structure to its arguments and with citations to Plato to make the claim that there's nothing the Neoplatonic scholars have said that isn't laid out or implied in the Vedas. It's a historical Hindu philosopher making the connection it took Western philosophers like Aleister Crowley another 1000 years after his life to make, because of the exposure to Western philosophy, and making an attempt to revitalize and unify native Hindu religion in a form that would be appealing to Western philosophers. Which historically was part of the motivation behind the consolidation of Neo-Vedanta in the 20th century.Well thats part of what I mean. It seems like theres more of a focus on developing the Indo-Hellenic religions than anything else in the sub-continent.
One example of a more localized religion could be some kind of Brahmanist led state based in Malwa or Maharastra, as with the failure of Chandragupta to defeat the invaders and the hellenic conquest of northern India perhaps Kautilya may have believed the kshatriya no longer suited for the task of governence and thus popularised a form of hinduism which diminished the role of the kshatriya to that solely of a warrior.
