ladyfabia Muslim Mod

This is Muslim Mod for Crusader Kings made by ladyfabia.
You can only play as Muslim country in this mod.
And you can create titles and grant titles in this mod.

Use patch 1.03b and unzip this mod to your CK folder.

Note :
1. Use this mod at your own risk!
2. This mod will overwrite some files so it's better to backup your original files in these folder : config, db, scenario. And backup gfx\CoA\lomb.bmp.

For a while, let's assume when Pope declared Crusade, Caliph declared Jihad to counter Crusade :)
That's why Muslims get jihad's penalty in this mod.
Until I can make Muslim mod where Muslim was created from Orthodox.
And some events need to be fixed.
That's why you can get canonized non Christian character and it also problem in original v1.03b.
I think that bug was reported in bug forum.

lol, when i tried as duchy of zaragoza the papal controller was a muslim :p. awesome.
anyways, i was wondering if there was any way to change the way the CoA looks for the muslims? right now they look just like the christian ones, i want the little circle ones.

Only the message says there is a papal controller.
Actually there isn't papal controller because there isn't PAPA tag.
Papal States uses LOMB tag not PAPA tag.
Check the leader who become papal controller that said by the message and you'll find no cross in his/her portrait.
I don't know how to change CoA to circle.
Anybody know?

The unsolved problem is the orders.
When an order is created, the grandmaster is a muslim.
I think the orders' first grandmaster are hardcoded.

The only way to change back to circles will affect the entire game, so be careful.

1. Backup county.bmp,county_mask.bmp,duchy.bmp,duchy_mask.bmp,kingdom.bmp and kingdom_mask.bmp (in gfx\CoA folder).
2. Copy the contents of turkish_mask.bmp onto each of the files mentioned above with _mask on the end.
3. Copy the contents of turkish on to all of the other files mentioned.

This should work. I did it in reverse because I think it looks better that way.

The problem there will be no Catholic and the game will crashed when load a scenario.
I have tried to give papal controller to rebel leader but it doesn't work.
Maybe I did a wrong way giving papal controller.
Can anybody give an example?
 
as I have posted before in some other threads, just give papal control to the rebel ruler...

EDIT: anyway, you havent to add the rebel char. It can give db mismatch, in some cases. Just give the papacy control to the char type = 10 id = -3.

Well, as I have done a fair share of province.csv modding lately and had began to think that maybe you should have different claimable kingdom setup for moslems. You are already changing game files in this scen, so that is not a problem. I'd think any moslem ruler wouldn't call himself sultan or king of England, France or Italy, but with some more appropriate names and perhaps some more appropriate divisions and CoAs. Any tags that are not created in any scenario (like kingdoms of Basra and Transoxania) can be reused as something more appropriate and it would still leave all christian kingdoms with appropriate names (while they would be unclaimable if destroyed).

I would have posted this as a new thread, but as I remembered that there already is a moslem mod, I could instead suggest it as an enchancement of current work.

Also I am not sure how you did you deal with ruler titles, but if you would use pagan for vanilla christians and rename Chiefs to normal catholic titles and then make vanilla pagans into jewish republics and rename republic titles to chiefs. Vanilla pagans are elective, so them being republics wouldn't hurt them and you would still have religious enmity between pagans and christians, while you could have moslems calling their kings as sultans.

I don't get it.
And how about the republics?
If we change republics title to pagan then Christian republics have pagan title.
And if we change European kingdom title then European kingdom won't be restored if AI do something stupid and break that kingdom.

Well, if you use republics already, you could instead make pagans to use knight order goverment form. I think you won't be having any knight orders pop up in a muslim mod, right? So then you could rename Grandmaster to Chief.

Titles don't affect rebuilding kingdoms, but as you likely know, the christians using muslim religion tag won't be creating any titles at all.
 
Update to v0.2

Changes in v0.2 :
- No longer piety penalty from Crusade or Jihad expectation.
- No longer piety bonus for taking land from enemy religion country.
- Muslim Duchy become Emirate and Muslim Duke become Emir.
- Fix mercenary events.
