Me and my friend tried to play Hearts of Iron with a crossed TP-cable, and it went fine until after about 15 minutes. My friend's ingame date was days behind mine, and he could not perform diplomatic actions or move divisions etc. We saved and loaded the game, and then, all the diplomatic actions he had tried to do, had made his relationship with italy incredibly high, and depleted all his money. The game the worked for about 15 minutes, but the same problem occured. After 5 of these saves and loads, we lost interest.

We played the 36 grand campaign, slighly modified to make USA a member of the axis from the start, since we wanted to be the two best countries, since we were beginners at that time. We also used the no time limit mod. Neither of us has a firewall, and other games functon well with the cable, although access to our windows shared folder does not work for some reason.

Has anyone heard of the problem before, and are there any solutions?

This is an issue with every Paradox game...

Parardox has the worst MP support ever and they never do anything to fix it -every paradox game is broken when it comes to MP...

You need to play with slower game speeds and save often and sometimes you will need to pause to give orders - this should help - but the real issue is that paradox sucks ass when it comes to multiplayer..

Seriously, what you think of the MP you can and should express, but do you really think it is necessary to spew insults like that?

Salem4,
What speed did u play (game use to dyssynchronise on speed fast - even on LAN)?
What protocol did u use?
Autosave may cause problem, try saving manually (with game paused of course).
