LAN not working!!

We are 2 people here, and we can not connect to each other on LAN. Any ideas what to check?

Can u ping each other computer??? If not then look if u are in the same subnet.

For example:

pc A: IP 10.0.0.1 mask 255.0.0.0

pc B: IP 10.0.0.2 mask 255.0.0.0


If thats correct and u still cant ping each other. Check the cable. Direct connect 2 pc needs a cross cable. With a router/switch u need straight cables.

If u can ping, but can't see each other pc. Make sure u have print/filesharing on. Also turn off the microsoft firewall (that is useless anyway)
