I stopped working on my original AAR, "From the Blood of Phalaris," because I was very busy in real life, and now that a new patch that alters the map is out, I decided it was best to just move on.
In this AAR, I've started as one of the two last Slavic rulers in 1066, Krutoj of the Obotrites. Historically, he revolted against the reigning Christian dynasty with the help of other pagan subjects. He had a lot of success fighting against the Danish and Saxons, but was eventually assassinated by a son of the ruler he killed in his revolt,Henry, with help from Krutoj's wife Slavina. (Note: I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject and am just using the Wikipedia links from in game.)
Short-term goals:
Prologue:
The year is 1066; William the "Conqueror" has just earned his title and the Seljuks have already started their invasion into Anatolia. This tale begins in the pagan realm of Obotritia, under the control of high chief Krutoj. Krutoj seeks to keep his people free of Christian influence, and keep their Slavic gods alive.
The former ruler of Obotritia was Guthskalco, a Christian Nakonid. Krutoj killed him during the uprising, but it is not yet finished. His two sons have gathered the last of the Nakonid loyalists in Liubice. The battle was not yet over, Krutoj readied his warriors to drive the last Christians from their lands.

Short-term goals:
- Remain pagan
- Form Pomerania
- Survive attacks from the HRE/Crusades
- Form Wendish Empire
- Perhaps reform the faith
