hi, I have a few questions as I have experienced something in Multiplayer mode.

1. Does game delay caused by the Host computer spec or our own computer? I found myself always get few days off from host and other. My cpu is weak but my network is okay. But I have never gotten desync error. Late game started to feel slow (I would like to catch up to host to avoid desync). By the meantime I would like to build a new pc too if it comes to my computer was the issue.

2. How do I know what's my network latency between the host and me? I often chat to see my network responses. does lobby have ping features? it would be convenience for me so I wouldn't join a game that crashed other.

3. Due to I am a Chinese so sometimes I do use Chinese language to play single player mode while switching to English Language in multiplayer mode, so does the language affect the game crash while playing Multiplayer? I would like to use my native language because I am not good in English when the game plot using complex vocab.

Thank you very much for reading.

Game desyncs in multiplayer generally are result of a connection issue between the host and one of the players in the game
As far as I know only the host gets the player desync message; but if you end up being a few days behind the host in a multiplayer session, yes that would cause a desync

I don't know if there is a way to tell latency between you and the host other than to play games together to see what kind of lag you get; there is always going to be some slight latency even if you have the best pc/internet

Switching languages shouldn't effect game lag

If you know your PC isn't fully up to snuff to run Stellaris then that is more than likely the problem
Because your PC can't actually keep up with what is happening in the game, even with decent network; it causes differences to appear. This in turn makes you lag behind by a few days

Now there are things the host can to do try and mitigate the problem, but there is no guarantee it would end up helping the desync problem

They are;
Decrease the size of the Galaxy. I.e. if playing on Large, tune down to Medium
Decrease AI Empires. I.e. if playing with 10, try going down to 8 or 6.
Decrease Primitive Civilizations. I.e. anything higher than x2 isn't overly needed unless someone is highly planning to go the tributary/vassal route and even then...

Outside of that, work on saving up for a new pc than can properly handle the game...you should be able to find one for about $900-$1000 that will be good for the next 5-8 years before it becomes antiquated
