no i have the proper version but know i have reinstalled the game downloading the patches and it doesn't seem to be saying it any more

Glad it's sorted. Must be a publisher specific message then. Who is the publisher of your version?

where does it say the publisher bcose there are many names nad companies on my cover

Depends on the publisher I guess. What does it say on the printed side of the CD, or the first/last pages of the manual? Otherwise, just list the most likely candidates on your box here. Maybe we can then sort out who the publisher is.

ob the cd it says hoi2 copyright 2005 paradox interactive ab and panvision ab.
