I'm have installed Armageddon 1.3 Beta 2 but everytime I try to launch I get a Please install the latest milestone error. Can anyone help with this? Thanks

No you didn't, both HoI2 and all its expansions share the same tech support forum. 
To answer your questions, one of two things is true:
a) You got the game via digital download, but not from gamersgate. In that case, you need to follow the patch procedure suggested by the download provider. Some of them don't have any patches yet.
b) You installed the wrong patch (or the right patch to the wrong folder, possibly because you have the Anthology, which installs Arma into /Arma, while the patch defaults to /Doomsday).
