Launcher Hang on MacOS

I uninstalled and then reinstalled Eu4. Deleted my EU4 folder in Documents. Verified installation files.

Both from steam and from the desktop, a blank launcher window appears, but never fully loads. First the launcher circle spins at the same time as the macOS spinner, and then just the macOS spinner goes.

Yes, I've also rebooted.

What next?

Please delete the ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/ folder. To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and paste in ~/Library/Application Support/ . Then run the game from the PLAY Button in Steam, to reinstall the launcher.

If that does not get the launcher running, we will need these files from that same folder:

Attach ALL .log files Found here ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/

So I didn't do that because something else worked first. Even though I had quit steam and relaunched it several times, one more time after a reboot did the trick.

There was a Steam update last night that fixed some issues on MacOS, so perhaps that was it.
