Launcher will not update

New PC, fresh Win 11 install, have been unable to get PDX launcher to update. Stellaris and HOI4.

My date/time is synced. I have deleted files and reinstalled the launcher several times. I have manually added the launcher and dowser exes to firewall. Even turned firewall off.

Attached the log that has errors.

Yes, a comms error of some sort. If you have a VPN, run that up before starting the launcher from Steam-PLAY - any better? If so there's a firewall in the way somewhere.

If you don't have a VPN, use a mobile hotspot/tether for this test.
