lazy - new flags and sprites

ok. I admit - I'm lazy. I have scanned to forums in order to find out HOW to implement new sprites and flags. For example, I have downloaded the autenthic flags for Germany and Japan (do I get banned from the forum for just admitting that?) but I have no idea how to make them appear in the game. Help is wanted. Thanks in advance.

I appreciate your answer N!ghtY but if I for some reason or another want to run a pure 1.03b game (hopefully soon 1.04) with the authentic flags?

then install to some directory, and get the files there
after hat delete SR

donwload the flags and then put the flags in your hearts of iron/gfx/map/flags directory. do the same for the shield in the map/shields directory.
