So, I started a play as Sigurd snake-guy to try and form the North Sea Empire. Obviously as you can see above, I was successful.

However, I didn't do something I should have. I retained the Kingdom of Denmark as my primary title instead of changing it to either England or Norway. So, the issue I've run into is I have very few vassals, I generate very little tax income now, since so little tax, I can't afford any Men at Arms, and with so few levies, I'm constantly fighting wars I can't win and am losing everything.

I think if I do this again, once I conquer England, I'm switching my primary title to Kingdom of England so I can hopefully retain some lands and vassals so I can keep some levies and tax. Prior to the guy that formed the Empire dying, I had over 20k levies and about 2500 M@A and had over 3k gold. I also forgot to make sure we could continue raiding after I reformed our faith. D'oh.

Well... at least you know for next time?
