Yep, multiplayer is so unstable it hurts, in the end they managed to get a patch for EU 2 which enabled us to play the game sorta, but in HOI its so unstable again that its a bloody achin.

We crash about 10 times an hour on general, it requires a LOT of patience to get a game goin.
Its the same as it was with EU, as soon as armies/navies/boats engage, we crash happily.

I'm hoping that this will be on the top 10 list of bugfixes instead of what nation is lacking what division, who cares about that if we cannot play the game.
Secondly I wonder if the Beta testers ever tested this in multiplayer at any time, very doubtful, or they were not very bright hehe..

Hm, what connections do you have, especially upstream of host? What speed do you play?

I played several MP games, and I didn't have a single crash since 1.02 (In 1.01 only after puppeting nations.)

If the connection is laggy, it might be an idea not to allow auto-bombing. It seems that the game crashes if a bombersquad already is on a second bombing run on the client, while on the server it is still doing the first run.

Which I believe is caused by the same thing as the infamous naval crash in EU2 that you love so much. Johan had said that this would be fixed in the EU2 patch 1.06 so I see no reason for it not to be fixed in HOI patch 1.03.

We use a 100 mbit lan network that should be speedy enough.
Its enough to reduce sync problems to a minimum, and during heavy battles we rarly crash but once at first contact..then we can play for a quite a while.
It's like when there is a lull the game runs madly out of sync.

During the last days of the EU 2 they made a patch that cured almost every problem we had, during a session we rarly crashed at all.
