Letter to Santa: What features do you wish would make there ways in WMoA

Hi,
So, if you could create a game, or have some features appear in a fantasy game, what would it be ?

Please, try to make it short and prioritise it.

1: Crafting system
2: Heavy emphasize on tactical concerns, like formations, flanking, command and control, supply, etc, during tactical battles
3: Lots of world interactions
4: Technological AND magical "research"
5: High diversity and heavy flavor of available technologies/spells (So that the feeling of playing a dictatorial evil theocracy would be vastly different from playing a hippie green magical federation of tribes, for example. And these and many more system would be available)

- many different troop types, all being useful i.e. siege machines, generals, boss monster, ....
- different factions which distinguish much between each other so playing another race would be a different experience
- quests with rewards
- items to equip troops with (as it was in Fantasy Wars)
- magic being really powerful
- troops leveling, becoming stronger

Seems I'm often repeating myself at this forum, but here it is:

  • More factions
  • Artifacts
  • Siege machines
  • Cavalry
  • Rivers
  • Roads
  • Random events, weather effects etc.
  • Good modding capabilities

Heavy emphasize on tactical concerns, like formations, flanking, command and control, supply, etc, during tactical battles

There are no tactical battles...

- quests with rewards
- troops leveling, becoming stronger

These things are already in the game.

I wish a fantasy game with the strict plan to only add features wich can be handled by the AI in a very good way.

Challenge is the most important game factor for me besides the basic 4x stuff :)

-Lots of leveling, skill trees, and equipment for all units.
-Persistent units/retinue even between unrelated single missions. I want to be able to do skirmishes and keep my best units, even if they become super expensive or whatever.
-A campaign with repeatable maps and even more persistent elements. (Something like the Rise of Legends campaign IIRC.)

If the AI has problems with something, it can just get some more bonuses, it's not possible to create a game of this kind (I don't mean games like Chess), where the AI is challenging and doesn't cheat.

You're right about the campaign, it would be a nice addition to the game.

I'd also add good scenario design capabilities (including scripted events) to the list, so we can create our own scenarios and campaigns.

(Seems I'm not welcome here, so this was my last stupid comment in this thread.)
