Liege dies while en route to petitioning, stuck as petitioning

Description​

While en route to petitioning my liege, he died. Since that happened I cannot plan or take part in any activities, including a Grand Wedding I had planned. When trying, game gives the message "You are currently busy petitioning your liege"

Steps to reproduce​

1. Press the petition liege button
2. Have liege die while en route

The petition type was transferring claims from another vassal. When the petition timer runs out I can still not petition my liege, stating the same message. I also cannot lead an army personally.
