One of the greatest failings that I always found in every "Age of Sails" game is the complete lack of the life on board of the ship. Even games with a focus on a single ship (Akella's games, for example) fail to depict what really happened on a ship in the XVIII century.
In the early days of EIC I remember a pair of screenshots with a section of the ship, where you could see the different decks, sailors moving and doing their jobs and (hopefully) some kind of interaction. Those screens are missing from the actual website: was this feature removed?
