I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way but I have some concerns regarding how my Paradox account interacts with Magicka 2.
I was really looking forward to Magicka 2 but after loading it up I started having concerns that were reducing my enjoyment and had me a bit off put, mainly due to security concerns. Firstly, linking an account permanently to your Steam account for this game seems like a really bad idea, especially when it logs you in automatically on start-up. My main concerns come from the automatic logging in.
Does it log you in automatically no matter what computer you use? Why is it not a system like in Magicka: Wizard Wars? I presume the reason for the linking of the account has to do with DLC and how the interacts between Steam and Paradox games that use DLC. The original Magicka did not involve having a Paradox account so it was all based off your Steam account, Wizard Wars on the other hand has a weird relationship between the two systems.
Another thing that bugs me from a privacy / security concern is the fact that on the main menu of the game it shows "Active Paradox Account: *Insert e-mail address* ". I honestly think that is a terrible idea, especially with how popular streaming games is these days. I would like the ability to hide or remove it.
Lastly, while I already have a Paradox account because I play Wizard Wars, I think forcing new players to create a Paradpx account just to be able to use the online capabilities of this game that touts multiplayer group fun to be completely unnecessary. I'm not sure how others feel but I personally don't like having to make accounts for every little thing, especially when it's a game on Steam.
Those are just my thoughts and concerns, I hope a developer can give a response to my concerns.
