I have always felt the interface elements of V3 were a bit slow/laggy on my system, especially the animation of the popups that appear either when a technology is discovered or a war starts. Other times, a click on a button would be slow to respond.

I put it on my GPU (NVIDIA Corporation TU117 [GeForce GTX 1650]), but during tests made on the same machine with the Windows version run with Proton 9, I experienced a much smoother GUI, while using the exact same graphical parameters (I have a symlink from the Paradox Interactive folder in the Proton prefix to my regular ~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive, so the Windows and Linux versions see the same config files and saved games).

So I tried the same thing with CK3, and saw an improvement, again, in the GUI responsiveness, but very marginal (maybe because the GUI has less animation than the V3 GUI).

It would be interesting to know if this performance discrepancy is experienced by other people.
