[Linux] Launcher can not update, sometimes does not start or still does not start the game

Just yesterday made a fresh installation, even then the launcher reported that it could not update, but the game runs. Today the launcher sometimes does not start, and if it starts, the game through it does not start.

Damn, it's some kind of system bug not related to the Paradox software. Rebooting the OS helps.
But the launcher still refuses to update.

What launcher version do you see? Current is 2022.6


Can we please get the launcher logs. They are in:

• $XDG_DATA_HOME/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/logs/ (if $XDG_DATA_HOME is set)
• ~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/logs/ (if $XDG_DATA_HOME is not set)

And what distro is this please? Strictly speaking only Ubuntu is supported for the launcher and the game, although they'd usually run under other common ones.

Looks like a comms issue of some sort:

Can you try a different DNS perhaps? Use Google's ones if you are not already - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Failing that, can you test while using a VPN, or even a mobile phone hotspot to connect?

Changing DNS does not help.
I don't have a full-fledged paid VPN, only specific solutions to bypass blocking.
Mobile traffic is very expensive for me.

I think I can live without upgrading the launcher
