I don't know if this has always been the case but to me it seems to me that cross-playing as a native Linux user seems to cause constant de-syncs. Playing with proton enabled does seem to make it less painful( and makes it so you do not need to case-folding for mods) with only de-syncs that *seem* to be unrelated to the OS, but every random count OOS makes me doubt if its working correctly.

does anyone have any tricks for increasing cross play stability? other then using proton (I had high hopes for proton 10 but that just makes your game crash when you open the multiplayer menu.) Id like to use native as it does load much faster but I have not found any way to do that without subjecting my friends to multiple re-syncs a session :(.

Not a direct answer but as a fellow Linux user, Debian stable, there have been issues with Linux but they have always been fixed timely. The Linux support is one of the things that drew me to Paradox games.
Not sure in your case they are related to Linux but I would check the logs to make sure there aren't any clues there and submit a savegame if it desyncs if that is possible. I don't play MP myself. Fellow human players are Xenos when I'm playing a game unless it's a boardgame, then I'm in Cooperative stance.

oh yhea, when im playing single player it works great ( case folding aside) and it works great even without enabling (case-sensitive mods aside). I have no issues in single player that cant be worked around Its just mp thats a pain.
